Install and connect
1 · Before you install
Connect to Wi-Fi and install on the phone that will use this eSIM.
Don't delete the eSIM once installed. The same code can't be installed again.
Check phone compatibility2 · Install your eSIM
- Open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service) → Add eSIM, then choose Use QR Code. Menu labels vary by iOS language and version.
- Scan from another screen. If this is the phone you are installing on, use the installation link or enter the details manually.
- Follow the prompts to download the eSIM. Label it Simvito or the destination so you can distinguish it from your usual line.

3 · Connect at your destination
- Turn on this eSIM, select it for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it.
- Turn off data roaming and automatic data switching on your home line.
- Turn off Wi-Fi for a moment and open a webpage.
Before you scan
Confirm your exact model and purchase region on the device compatibility page. Carrier lock and regional restrictions can prevent installation even when the model name looks compatible.
If the plan starts on installation, wait until you are ready to use it. For mainland-China iPhones that support eSIM, Apple says a non-mainland eSIM must be installed outside mainland China with Location Services enabled.
Add the profile
- Open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service) → Add eSIM, then choose Use QR Code. Menu labels vary by iOS language and version.
- Scan the QR code from your Simvito order email or account, then follow the on-screen download prompts. Use the manual details only if they are supplied with your order.
- Name the new line “Simvito” or your destination so you can distinguish it from your home line.
Choose which line uses data
At the destination, turn on the Simvito line and choose it for Cellular Data. Turn on Data Roaming for the Simvito line: it connects abroad through partner networks, so it won’t load data with roaming off, and the prepaid plan doesn’t charge extra for roaming. Turn off Data Roaming on your home line and turn off Allow Cellular Data Switching, so your home carrier doesn’t bill you for data.
Keep your usual number for calls and texts if needed. Those services still follow your home carrier’s roaming charges; keeping a SIM active does not make calls free.
Check before leaving Wi-Fi
Briefly switch off Wi-Fi and load a small webpage. If data does not work, check the selected data line, destination coverage and the plan’s validity before changing anything else.
Do not delete the profile to retry. Simvito QR codes are for one installation; contact support if the phone says the code is already used or installation fails. You can retrieve your order from your account.
